Cara mendapatkan entri riwayat untuk ditampilkan dengan benar di beberapa baris

Misalkan saya telah memasukkan fungsi di bash prompt, pada banyak baris alih-alih meremasnya menjadi satu dengan titik koma:

$ function blah {
  echo blah

$ history -1

Bagaimana caranya menampilkan ini dengan karakter baris baru yang sebenarnya alih-alih '\ n'?

cmdhist   If set, bash attempts to save all lines of a multiple-line
          command in the same history entry.  This allows  easy  re-editing 
          of multiline commands.

lithist   If  set,  and the cmdhist option is enabled, multi-line commands 
          are saved to the history with embedded newlines rather than using 
          semicolon separators where possible.

Mengaktifkan fitur

$ shopt -s cmdhist
$ shopt -s lithist

Menonaktifkan fitur

$ shopt -u cmdhist
$ shopt -u lithist

Contoh

$ shopt -s cmdhist
$ shopt -s lithist

Sekarang ketika saya menjalankan history:
