mutt: bagaimana cara menampilkan karakter emoji dengan benar?

Saya ingin dapat melihat karakter emoji dengan benar di mutt, tetapi misalnya 💗 muncul sebagai ^ J di pager mutt. Lari

:set pager=view

dan membuka kembali pesan menampilkan karakter dengan benar dengan vim.

Email yang dimaksud adalah terenkripsi PGP, tetapi saya rasa saya akan mendapatkan hal yang sama dengan email yang tidak terenkripsi ( https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mail.mutt/50_MpyYkXR4 ).

Saya mengharapkan email mentah untuk disandikan base64 (karena kedua akun gmail dan pesan berisi karakter non-ASCII), tetapi itu sama. Tampaknya juga tidak ada karakter yang terluka dalam perjalanan.
